‘Tis The Season To Be Merry

It originally premiered in December 2021. And every year it reruns a bunch. I know that you’re like, “Jen, I haven’t had cable TV since Antarctica still had ice.” If you have any of the streaming services that offer the Hallmark Channel - you can watch there. Or Peacock. Look, I don’t have all of the answers. All I know is that it’s on. You can check out the trailer and a clip from the movie below.

Some fun details? I pitched the story to the Hallmark Channel back in 2019. They said, “Let’s do it!” I wrote the first two drafts during the 2020 lockdown. And then they had an experienced Hallmark Movie writer take a polish on it and made it just perfect. I didn’t write it with anyone in mind but Rachael Leigh Cook was sent the script by her agent. She and I had never met but she knew of my comedy (and obviously I know her work) and said yes. She DM’d me and we kept in touch and when I was visiting Los Angeles last year - we met up for some wine. Turns out that when I used to live in L.A - we basically lived around the corner from one another and never knew. Anyway, she’s the best! This picture of us is the worst! Well, Rachael looks great. I look like Rod Stewart!

Also, Deck The Hallmark!

I was a guest on one of my favorite podcasts to listen to and guest on, Deck The Hallmark. Bran, Dan, and Brian review Hallmark Christmas movies and although it’s hilarious fun, they truly want these movies to win, as do I. That’s what I love about this podcast. It’s never mean-spirited but it’s always dead honest. We want these movies to be good but a lot of the time they’re just…NOT. We reviewed the BIZARRO 2024 Hallmark Christmas flick “Believe In Christmas”.

And if you want to laugh yourself silly, check out the episode of Deck The Hallmark where we reviewed (and made fun of) my very own “Tis The Season To Be Merry”.
