RFK Don’t Take Our ADHD Meds Away!
PATREON ONLY EPISODE 36: “MEDICATION”
The new episode of my solo podcast “You Are A LOT” (an ADHD/AuDHD podcast) is out now but it’s a Patreon Only Episode. Don’t worry, if you’re not a member of my Patreon community - I have a few ways to get you in. So, keep reading.
This week I’m very thoroughly answering a simple question asked by a Patreon subscriber about her experience with ADHD medication. Should she take it? Is her experience normal?
My first answer is this: DO NOT ASK PODCASTERS TO GIVE YOU ADVICE ABOUT MEDICATION QUESTIONS.
My second answer is NOT advice-based but instead a well-researched deep dive into basic and general facts about ADHD medications; what’s out there, possible side effects, possible benefits, how medications work differently in different bodies, and questions to ask your doctor about getting on meds.
One way that I can be helpful as someone with an ADHD/AuDHD podcast is by collecting research from places and putting it all together in an easy-to-understand way so that you don’t have to, and then send you off to the appropriate professionals who can coach you, medicate you, or therapize you.
PATREON ONLY EPISODE 36: MEDICATION
In this episode: Jen gets a question from a Patreon member about what medication Jen takes, and how they should navigate their medication situation. Jen gives a lengthy answer about all of the things to consider when doing trial and error with ADHD medication, the different types of medication available and what they do, how they interact with various life
situations, and why it’s a more complex issue than a podcast is equipped to solve but luckily - Jen can give a LOT of information in one place that helps everyone know what to discuss with their doctor.
